i have been away the past two weeks hence the sudden lack of updates. now i am back and i have quite a few photos (aside from the old ones) mostly b&w taken with my old skool fm3a… so i promise to put up more photos as soon as they’re developed.

going home made me miss paris even more… i cannot even begin to start how much i miss paris. mostly, i just miss the little things, the simple (yet complicated – it’s the french, it’s never simple) little daily random things, my bestfriend, all the insane food treks, loooong walks, random finds, the marais… the list goes on and on and on. i miss paris so much. i hate admiting it out loud but i do. i miss it so much that when i heard a couple of french tourists back home, i almost ran up to them and just start speaking in french. it’s good i still speak a little bit of french ‘cos i really do not want to lose what little french i know. i miss paris so much that this old french couple made getting stuck at admisibility review almost – keyword: almost – bearable.

these photos were taken during one of my last few days in paris. p and i were walking, just wandering from the 18th to the 10th… we saw a bunch of pigeons feasting on a broken baguette… it was really interesting just watching them – i’m not a big fan of pigeons but it was pretty cool how they were just perched on the railing and cooing. it reminded me of old ladies just hanging around late in the afternoon to just chill and gossip. i dunno, i thought it was pretty cool.

i miss paris, i hope to be able to get back to that side of the atlantic by the end of the summer… and it would be awesome if i could also drop by north africa.  *fingers crossed*

this song was from the movie “dedication” (billy crudup, mandy moore). it’s not my favourite movie in the world, but considering that i am not a mandy moore fan, this movie was pretty good. i just like how it was done – granted, it was a typical happy-ending cutesey story… but it’s pretty interesting and i like the character played by billy crudup. his OCD is pretty intense and i guess it just fascinated me. PLUS, he has severe anxiety disorder and he reminded me of myself when he puts heavy books on top of him to calm him down. yea, it works. not the books, i haven’t tried that; putting pressure on the body results in a decrease in pulse rate, metabolic rate, and muscle tone, which was also explained in one episode of grey’s anatomy where the doctor with asperger’s had two of the other doctors hug her tight. that being said, yea, i like being ’squished’ and it does have a calming effect and makes me feel safe. weird, i know. anyway, i love this song and it played at a really cool driving part. so, i put it along with this photo taken in the south of france while driving down the highway at…i dunno, about 180 km/hr in the rain? i was really shocked the photo came out and i like how the rain drops show and the texture looks like brush strokes.

this series is composed of random photographs that were either accidentally taken,
taken with the wrong settings with the shutter left too long  resulting in light streaks,
or photographs that did not turn out as planned but still managed to make something decent out of it.
i tweaked it a bit – but only the curves and saturation.
